Becoming independent is an important step for every person, helping you achieve the confidence and skills to live independently is very important to us at Bluebird Community Support Services. Whatever your disability, we are here to support you as you pursue your dreams and goals.

For your everyday living, we can help you with important life skills like cooking, learning how to use a computer or getting a job. If you simply want to relax, have fun and make new friends, you can come along to one of our many activities or events.
COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
RESPITE
PERSONAL CARE
Access places and activities in the community either through one-on-one support or as part of a group of people.
Get involved with a social network, meet people, make friends, develop better social skills and build stronger relationships.
Choose to attend an event, join a class, be part of a team, play a game or just hang out.
We can offer a variety of social, recreational or leisure activities to suit your goals and interests. Including; Fishing, Bingo, Shopping, Leisure Parks, Markets, Tourist attractions, Golf, Museum visits, Town tours, Movies, Live theatre, etc
Taking a break from a carer’s role can help you restore your energy, reduce stress and keep your life in balance.
Whether it’s a few hours a week to run errands, or time to take a holiday, our qualified Disability Support Workers can provide help and support either at home or out in the community while you and your Carer enjoy a well-earned break.
Our aim is to ensure assist your carer by helping you with daily tasks, taking you to appointments, or spending time in activities you enjoy, our experienced Disability Support Workers will care for you in a kind and considerate way, giving your carer peace of mind
This program aims to assist you to achieve your goals. From personal 1-on1 care and domestic assistance through to helping out with temporary respite care, we’ll give you choice and flexibility to have your services delivered how you want them.

We work with you to come up with a customised plan.
We can assist with your independence assisting you to reach your full potential in everyday activities whether in the community or at home, helping to assist and teach you the skills needed for you to live or stay independent.
IN CENTRE PROGRAMS
Our mixed abilities programs include Music, Art and Craft, capacity building life skills and are designed for adults living with disability, use the powerful and fun mediums are used to encourage participants to develop skills in coordination, concentration, social interaction and gain self-confidence.
Tutors for these programs have experience working with people with diverse needs.
Classes are held in our centre or in the community and participants will attend these group sessions with their support workers, who are expected to play an active role in the class.
COOKING & DINING
This program delivers knowledge and skills for people with a disability who have cooking and dining goals.
Training focuses on simple and nutritious cooking and dining, meal preparation, group dining and etiquette.

Training also involves a literacy and numeracy element relevant to cooking, such as measuring ingredients, reading recipes and converting between units of measurements for recipes.
At the conclusion of the program, participants receive a book containing the recipes they’ve cooked throughout the program.
Additionally, this program has the benefit of being inclusive of food intolerances and allergies.
BUDGETING
Bluebird Support Services have developed an individualised and flexible skills program designed to cater to your needs.
This program focuses on working with you to identify where your current skills are at in relation to money handling and budgeting before helping you to further develop these skills in a practical and fun environment.
This program is suited to all levels of literacy.
